Kevin A. Cohen

Kevin is the Founder of South Bay Ventures and has focused on venture capital, private company secondaries, and late-stage private company transactions since 2008.

Over the course of his career, Kevin has participated in transactions involving more than 60 leading private companies, including SpaceX, Anthropic, Databricks, Palantir, Coinbase, Spotify, and Airbnb.

Earlier in his career, Kevin served as Senior Vice President and Head of the Private Company Strategies Group at Wedbush Securities, where he was among the first to execute secondary transactions in companies such as Facebook, Twitter, and Alibaba at a time when private company liquidity was still being defined. He later spent more than a decade as a Partner at Manhattan Venture Partners, helping build the firm into one of the leading platforms in the secondary market for venture-backed companies.

Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. He lives in Manhattan Beach with his wife and two sons.
